About our pastor
Pastor Levi Powers
Pastor Levi Powers started ministry with us March 2024. Though he is originally from Wisconsin he came to New Jersey after serving his first church in Wyoming for 5 years.
Pastor Levi obtained his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in May 2019. Previously he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is passionate about preaching the gospel and administering the sacraments. He takes seriously the Holy Scriptures, the Three Ecumenical Creeds, and the Lutheran Confessions. As a queer guy, he has a special interest in the wonderfully inclusive message of the gospel of Jesus Christ for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and otherwise queer people. For fun Pastor Levi enjoys reading, going to coffee shops, traveling, video games, and walking. He has two pet birds at home, Elgort and Zoro.
