About our pastor
Pastor Levi Powers started ministry with us at St. James in March 2024
Pastor Levi obtained his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in May 2019. He is passionate about preaching the gospel and administering the sacraments. As a Lutheran pastor, he takes seriously the Holy Scriptures, the Three Ecumenical Creeds, and the Lutheran Confessions. As a queer guy, he has a special interest in the wonderfully inclusive message of the gospel of Jesus Christ for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and otherwise queer people. Pastor Levi is recently engaged. For fun Pastor Levi enjoys reading, going to coffee shops, traveling, video games, and walking. He has a pet bird at home named Elgort.
